Prominent Youth of America (PYOA) is a Black-led 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting entrepreneurship within the music & entertainment industry. Its Board of Directors (4 members) are African American, as is the Executive Director LaVon Clack. PYOA is committed to achieving social change through the following principles: Education, Integrity, Leadership, Technology & Innovations. PYOA’s mission-driven activities depend on collaborative community partnerships and include New Directions Housing Corporation, Republic Bank Foundation, YMCA of Greater Louisville, Metro United Way, BLOCS program, Dare To Care Kids Cafe, Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS), and EVOLVE 502. Through these collaborative efforts, PYOA delivers sustainable, impactful, and educational programming to Black youth.
