About

Throughout the program, NeXt Ambassadors will network with high profile community leaders, take on rewarding arts-focused projects that have a real impact on arts organizations, enjoy world-class art events, learn where their talents are most needed, and become a defining voice in the future of the arts. NeXt projects will span an array of areas, but will most often fall into the categories of: collaborative initiatives, audience development, event management, program implementation, business operations, marketing and communications, and philanthropy.

The 2019 NeXt Class will meet every third Thursday of each month beginning in September 2018 until graduation in June 2019.

Tuition for the program is $500; a limited number of scholarships are available and granted based on need.

Applications will open Monday, May 7 and close June 29. Applicants will be informed of their application status in July.

If you have scholarship requests or any other questions, please reach out to Morgan Eklund at meklund@fundforthearts.org

Project Presentations and Program Conclusion

The Project

NeXt believes that arts bring color and passion to our lives. That working hard and taking on big challenges can be fun and rewarding. And that world-class arts and culture organizations throughout the region contribute substantially to our quality of place and growing economy.

501c3’s from across the region will be offered the opportunity to ask for help and NeXt Ambassadors will be there to answer that call. Projects will span an array of areas, but will most often fall into the categories of: collaborative initiatives, audience development, event management, program implementation, business operations, marketing and communications, and philanthropy.

The NeXt program is not a project competition. Young professionals and Arts organizations alike desire the same interaction with one another – a hands-on experience. NeXt seeks to engage these talented emerging leaders in service of the Arts and create ambassadors for life!
