About

Throughout the program, NeXt Ambassadors will network with high profile community leaders, experience professional development training, take on rewarding arts-focused projects that have a real impact on arts organizations, enjoy world-class art events, learn where their talents are most needed, and become a defining voice in the future of the arts.

One of the highlights of the NeXt program is to partner with selected local nonprofit organizations, with an emphasis on arts and culture, through hands-on teamwork and consultation. NeXt project consultations span an array of areas, but will most often fall into the categories of: collaborative initiatives, audience development, event management, program implementation, business operations, marketing and communications, and philanthropy. NeXt ambassadors will experience the inner-workings of nonprofit organizations and use their skills to help advance local organizations’ needs.

NeXt classes meet once a month for 10 months, running from September through June. Tuition for the program is $600; a limited number of scholarships are available and granted based on the applicant’s requested need.

The Project

NeXt believes that arts bring color and passion to our lives. That working hard and taking on big challenges can be fun and rewarding. And that world-class arts and culture organizations throughout the region contribute substantially to our quality of place and growing economy.

501c3’s from across the region will be offered the opportunity to ask for help and NeXt Ambassadors will be there to answer that call. Projects will span an array of areas, but will most often fall into the categories of: collaborative initiatives, audience development, event management, program implementation, business operations, marketing and communications, and philanthropy.

The NeXt program is not a project competition. Young professionals and Arts organizations alike desire the same interaction with one another – a hands-on experience. NeXt seeks to engage these talented emerging leaders in service of the Arts and create ambassadors for life!
