Andrea Strange
Andrea Strange is a NEXt! member and liaison to Walden Theatre had the opportunity to attended the Outreach program today to get an idea of just what Walden does to enrich the lives of children in the community.
I was able to sit in and observe the Outreach program today at Hazelwood Elementary. I can not express how impressed I was by the program. The 5th graders were so engaged and entertaining. You could tell how much they enjoyed the program.
A few observations that a walked away with:
- These young people were getting experience with public speaking and teamwork
- They were having fun
- They were incorporating educational information that is going to be so much more memorable than reading a book
I commend what Walden Theatre and their instructors are doing, they were so amazing with the kids!
