The 2024 Cultural Pass is your passport to creativity! Cultural Pass offers young people ages 0-21 and their families in the Greater Louisville area access to participate in arts and cultural activities provided by over 50 venues, free of charge, from June 1 through August 4, 2024.

The Cultural Pass is designed to inspire, explore, and discover new experiences in our Greater Louisville community!

The Cultural Pass poster art contest is open March 1 – April 1, 2024! Students ages 11-21 in the Cultural Pass service region of Louisville and Southern Indiana are invited to design poster art for the Cultural Pass. The winning poster art will be used to advertise the program throughout the region and the winner will receive a $250 prize! Click here to learn more + apply.

How to Cultural Pass

  1. You must pick up your Pass IN PERSON at your local library. Participants must have or be eligible for a card from the Bullitt County Public Library, Charlestown-Clark County Library, Floyd County Public Library, Harrison County Public Library, Jeffersonville Township Library, or Louisville Free Public Library. 
  2. Each participant (ages 0-21) and one accompanying adult for youth under the age of 17 will receive free, one-time, in-person admission to each of the participating venues (with a maximum of two adults admitted for free per family).
  3. All rules and regulations for specific venues must be followed to gain entry. Please note special restrictions for some participating venues are printed on the Pass.
  4. The Cultural Pass is valid for one-time admission at each of the participating venues. No special exhibits or concessions are included with the Cultural Pass, unless otherwise listed.
  5. Venues reserve the right to deny entry if the rules and restrictions of the Cultural Pass are not followed.
  6. The Cultural Pass is intended for family use. As such, it is not valid for group visits. 
  7. The Cultural Pass is not valid with other venue offers.

Cultural Pass Day

Cultural Pass will celebrate the start of the summer alongside Louisville Free Public Library’s Summer Reading Kick-Off on June 1 at the Main Branch on 301 York Street Downtown. Several 2024 Cultural Pass venues and partners will lead activities  throughout the day. Families with children ages 0-21 are invited to pick up their Cultural Pass, sign up for Summer Reading, and enjoy performances and arts and culture vendors!

Cross the Bridge to Creativity with Cultural Pass Venues and Activities

Cultural Pass provides young people age 0-21 with free access to over 50 arts, culture, and heritage venues across Greater Louisville. The programming made accessible through Cultural Pass promotes creativity, inspiration, educational opportunities, and lifelong learning about where we come from (our heritage), who we are (our culture), and how we express both of those things (art).

How do I register? 
To register for your FREE Cultural Pass, visit your local library’s website (see details above). 

What type of activities are offered?
The activities are all different.  They consist of performance videos, arts and cultural projects, workshops, and more. 

Can I attend Cultural Pass Days for free?
Cultural Pass Days are completely free! All you need to attend a Cultural Pass day is your Cultural Pass. No RSVP is required.

When does Cultural Pass end?
Cultural Pass is available from June 1 – August 4, 2024.

Who facilitates the Cultural Pass program?
Cultural Pass is facilitated by the Fund for the Arts and a steering committee comprised of representatives from all participating libraries, the Arts and Cultural Alliance, Louisville Metro Government, and community members.
