Where are they now…
I’m still involved with the arts while studying at Cincinnati Conservatory of Music with Kurt Sassmannshaus as a Violin Performance major. The Whittenberg Scholarship helped me through my first year at the conservatory. Without the scholarship, I would have had to pay more for my tuition. Also, my parents were able to fund my tuition for a summer academy in Beijing, China.
This past summer I participated at the Great Wall International Music Academy studying with professors all around the world as well as playing on two NPR “From the Top” shows recorded at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing. I performed as part of the Great Wall Soloists conducted by my teacher, Kurt Sassmannshaus. Without the generous scholarship, my studies in China would have never happened.
