Arts Impact Award: Americana Community Center

This award honors an organization that has demonstrated a significant impact in the Louisville community through the arts—Americana Community Center. Growing out of four apartment units in 1990, Americana now serves over 5,000 people from over 100 countries annually at its schoolhouse turned community center in South Louisville. From there, Americana hosts a wealth of youth, family, community, and adult on-site partner programs for Louisville’s refugee, immigrant, and underserved populations, alongside other holistic services. For those they serve and beyond, Americana is a beacon of social justice, community, respect, and realized potential we’re lucky to have in our city!
