What does peanut butter have to do with the Arts?  We started with Star Search and before we knew it, we landed at Art Search.  Art Search brought Kristopher Castle home to Kentucky after he worked in New York City and for the Washington National Opera.  Actors Theatre was hiring and Kristopher wanted to come back home.  It turned out to be a match made in heaven.  According to Kristopher,  “There’s no place I would rather be.  Louisville is wonderful!”

We are so lucky talented people like Kristopher, who grew up in Kentucky, are able to find work in our community. That’s what this is all about: making a place where kids can dream of playing in an orchestra, dancing with the ballet, and designing costumes for the BIG stage.  The most exciting part is when they make that dream a reality right here! Because we create jobs for people like Kristopher, 17,000 students will see Bram Stoker’s Dracula come to life at Actors Theatre and school children will get to experience the Arts as part of their educational journey.  We really do live in one great American city!

Join me for a little back stage fun as Kristopher shows us how to put on a scar and make fake blood, just in time for All Hallows Eve!
