2019 Awards in the Arts Nominations

Louisville’s Awards in the Arts celebrates the extraordinary arts community in the Greater Louisville region and the arts tremendous contribution to our unique cultural landscape and quality of place. But most of all, Louisville’s Awards in the Arts were established to celebrate the artists themselves, their talent and passion, to create, produce and present transformative and inspiring works of arts, in and for our community. Louisville’s Awards in the Arts will be presented at Churchill Downs on April 27, 2019.

Opening Night & The Trifecta Submissions

The Fund for the Arts and Churchill Downs will join forces for the fourth year to kick off Derby week by celebrating the extraordinary local arts scene and live racing at Opening Night, Saturday, April 27, 2019. On Opening Night, artists and arts installations appear all over the track, including iconic places like Millionaire’s Row, The Paddock, and Awards in the Arts, the Fund for the Arts’ annual celebration of the Greater Louisville arts community.

Additionally, Fund for the Arts will support curating artists for The Trifecta Gala presented by Junior Bridgeman & Family. This red carpet event gives back to our community in meaningful ways. The night before the big race, The Trifecta kicks off Derby weekend in style with major label entertainment, food, networking and engaging brand activations that both elevate and support a memorable evening for their guests.
