Picture Love is a project through the Louisville Visual Art Association’s OPEN DOORS program.The LVAA and The Speed Museum collaborated to partner with the Southwick Community Center. The Picture Love exhibition features photographs taken by youth participants in the project.
Picture Love provided an opportunity for the students at Southwick to learn basics of portraiture photography, and more. Inherent to the process, family members & loved ones shared their personal stories through documentation of important relationships in their own lives. The participants drew from personal experiences and familiar environments to create an intimate series of photographs, Picture Love.
