Charlestown State Park – Guided Rose Island Tour
- WHAT: Enjoy a 2-hour guided tour of Rose Island, a former Summer Resort. The Rose Island trail is 1-mile. You must take the steep hill on Trail 3 to the Rose Island Trail, hill is .70-mile and very steep. Transportation down and back up the hill is provided on all guided tours.

Conrad-Caldwell House Museum – Self-Guided Tour
- WHAT: Enjoy a self-guided tour of one of Louisville’s most iconic historic homes. Explore our 10,000-square-foot Richardsonian Romanesque mansion at your own pace, taking in the craftsmanship, architecture, and stories that define the Gilded Age. Learn about the lives of the Caldwell family, their children, and the domestic staff who maintained the household, as well as gain insight into what Louisville was like in the early 1900s.

Corydon Capitol State Historic Site – Tour of the Old Capitol Building and Governor’s Mansion
- WHAT: Step back in time with us to learn about the founding of Indiana and the early days of its government! We will visit the original Capitol building and Governor’s Mansion during this walk-thru history!

Culbertson Mansion State Historic Site – Guided Tour
- WHAT: The guided tour of the Culbertson Mansion will take visitors through the 20,000 square foot Victorian Mansion to see the artistry and craftsmanship in the home built for New Albany’s best-known philanthropist of the Gilded Age.

The Falls of the Ohio State Park – On Your Own Interpretive Center Exhibit Tour AND On Your Own Fossil Challenge
- WHAT:
- Interpretive Center Exhibit Tour: In an hour or less, take a journey through time. From the depths of the Devonian Sea, to the Ice Age, connections to American History, and an introductory film.
- Fossil Challenge: The park challenge is a fossil scavenger hunt; can you find them all? The Challenge is available anytime someone wishes to test their eyes and skills. Participation and completion can earn a park-related prize!

The Falls of the Ohio State Park – Daily Fossil Bed Hikes
- WHAT: Discover the wonders of the fossil beds with a state park naturalist. We will look at Devonian marine fossils and discuss how they lived, what they ate, how/why they were preserved.

Geeva Arts Festival: Indian Dance & Music Festival

Looking for the Lilith Theatre Company – The Ancestors Project Community Workshop
- WHAT: Use the past to create in the present in this evolving community arts project based on the stories of ancestors who have inspired and guided us.
- Each participant is asked to bring with them a story and a photograph* of an ancestor that is important to them. LFL facilitators will lead participants in theatre, visual art, and writing activities to bring their ancestors’ stories to life. No prior arts experience is needed for participation.
- *If no photograph is available, participants can bring a memento or other meaningful object that connects them to that ancestor.
- LFL defines “”ancestor”” as anyone who has come before you who has informed in some way the person that you are.

Looking for the Lilith Theatre Company – GirlSpeak Performance
- WHAT: Join us for the public debut of a NEW and exciting work, created by the participants of our GirlSpeak Intensive, a multi-week summer drama program for ages 12-16. Guided by LFL Teaching Artists, GirlSpeak participants will have chosen a topic and created a new play, using the same collaborative playwriting techniques used in LFL devised productions.

Portland Museum – Learn Your City’s History and Creativity
- WHAT: Come visit the little museum that could in Louisville’s historic neighborhood of Portland! Founded 1978 within the walls of the old Roosevelt Elementary School, Portland Museum’s exhibits have since outgrown the classroom and are ready to be explored by you and your family. Discover the riverside community of Portland through our self-guided and profusely annotated historical wing. Venture from our city’s origins on the mighty Falls of the Ohio onto the washed-away docks of the Portland Wharf. Stand proudly beside Kentucky’s Giant Big Jim Porter and give our own Lady Steamboatman Mary Miller a salute! Measure the changes brought by the Great Flood of 1937 and hear the inspiring stories of the Portland Memorial Baptist Church. Hop aboard a handmade shanty or investigate a shipwrecked shrimp boat in our acre (or should we say anchor?) backyard! Have a question? Our expert docent is all-ears at all-times! Portland Museum – Make Your Voice Heard at Portland Museum’s Oral History Booth
- WHAT: With technology and social media now a more-and-more established part of growing up, Portland Museum recognizes the importance of evolving communication to relate across generations. What once were stories around the fireplace might now make a deeper connection in front of some microphones! Portland Museum’s Oral History Booth allows for up to four participants to take a seat and digitally record their voices for personal archives and online sharing alike. Designed for high-quality sound with extreme ease-of-use, participants will make easy work of the booth’s equipment after some quick introductory help from our staff. Put a pause on your phones voice memos and turn the passing down of your family history into a memorable event here at Portland Museum!

Riverside, the Farnsley-Moremen Landing – Tour
- WHAT: Explore the history of this Ohio River farm site by touring the Farnsley-Moremen House (built 1837). Throughout much of written history, a riverboat landing on the economic and cultural superhighway called the Ohio River connected this farm to the wider world. Discover the fascinating stories of the people who lived here over time!
