The Fund for the Arts board of directors will launch a search for the position of president and chief executive officer of the Fund for the Arts. A search committee has been appointed with leadership from within the Fund’s board of directors. Fund board member, Harold Butler, executive director & COO of Stites & Harbison PLLC will chair the search.
Prior to initiating the actual search, the strategic visioning and planning committee, which includes non-board members, will complete their work to permit the Fund to calibrate the type of leader and skill set the successful candidate will need. The leaders of the strategic planning effort are Angela Leet of Chamberlin Enterprises and Ted Nixon of D.D. Willamson.
Fund for the Arts board chair, Ron Murphy said, “The position of leadership at the Fund is critical to helping bring quality arts experiences to our community. I am confident we will find a person of extraordinary talent and I am very pleased with the committee we have put in place to conduct this search.”
The search committee will develop a rich and diverse candidate pool and will invite both nominations and applications for the position once the position announcement is completed. An ongoing update on the progress of the search will be provided via the Fund for the Arts website.
