Delve into Kentucky’s complex history, walking in the footsteps of Farmington’s diverse inhabitants. Learn about the impact of Abraham Lincoln’s 3 week visit in 1841. Cultural Pass offers a unique opportunity to tour the house at your own pace. Trained docents will be stationed throughout to offer insight and answer questions. Maps are provided to explore the history of the grounds and outbuildings. Closed June 26. Please check Farmington’s website and social media for special activities available on the day of your visit. Topics of exploration will include hemp cultivation and rope manufacturing, archaeologist led artifact investigations, historical garb, bee keeping, gardening, and more! Guests are invited to make a day of it and enjoy a picnic lunch on the grounds before or after a tour. Drinks are available for purchase in the Visitor Center during business hours.

All Cultural Pass guests check in at the Visitor Center, tours begin there, then proceed to the rest of the experience. The property has walkways, but the historic Main House is only accessible by stairs. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
