Cultural Pass is holding a contest among students ages 11-21 to design poster art for this year’s 10th Anniversary of Cultural Pass! The winning poster art will be used to advertise the program throughout the region and the winner will receive a $500 prize!
The Cultural Pass provides free access to many of Greater Louisville’s arts and culture institutions for youth ages 0-21. The Pass is valid for a one-time general admission at each of the participating venues and is valid from June 1 to August 6, 2023. Created from Vision Louisville, the Cultural Pass is an innovative initiative to promote art and culture and improve summer learning in our community. The 2023 Cultural Pass is a partnership of Louisville Metro Government, Fund for the Arts, Louisville Free Public Library, and the Arts & Culture Alliance (ACA). Cultural Pass is also made possible with the support of Bullitt County Public Library, Charlestown-Clark County Public Library, Floyd County Public Library, Harrison County Public Library, and Jeffersonville Township Public Library.
We are looking for a creative artwork submission that encompasses what arts and culture means to individuals who reside in the Greater Louisville region (Bullitt and Jefferson counties in Kentucky, and Clark, Floyd, Harrison counties in Indiana). The artwork submitted should include the words “Cultural Pass” somewhere in the design. Competitive submissions will have an eye-catching color palette and will highlight what the region has to offer. Artwork should not focus on just one individual place or event.
