What is the Fund for the Arts Capital Grant?
This is a capital grant opportunity to support arts organizations in Greater Louisville with project expenses associated with facilities and/or equipment. Grant awards may range from $500 to $25,000.

How does the Capital Grant work?
Arts organizations may apply through the Fund for the Arts online grant portal. The application will include a project description and budget (see Grant Guidelines for details and grant timeline). While there is no funding match required for this grant, applicants may combine a grant award with other funding sources to complete the proposed project or purchase.

Who may apply?
Arts organizations based in Greater Louisville may apply. A 501(c)3 is not required. Individuals are not eligible for this grant opportunity. See the Grant Guidelines for additional details.

How do I/we apply?

  1. Read the Grant Guidelines.
  2. Attend an Applicant Information Session (see Grant Guidelines for details).
  3. Submit your application through the Fund for the Arts online grant portal (see Grant Guidelines for details). Fund for the Arts welcomes and encourages all applicants, and we recognize that the grant application process may be a challenge. Please reach out to us at grants@fundforthearts.org or (502) 582-0100 to discuss alternate application options.
