Model City for Compassion Louisville group with Mayor Fischer, Barbara Sexton Smith, & Karen Armstrong in Seattle
Do you think you’re compassionate? At the Fund for the Arts, we do! We were just named the first Compassionate United Arts Fund in America. Woo-hoo! As you’ve probably heard, Mayor Greg Fischer went to Seattle last week to receive the “Model City Award” for compassion. During his acceptance speech, he asked the audience if they thought it was possible to be the Manliest City and the Most Compassionate city in America. Everyone laughed and agreed anything is possible in Louisville, Kentucky!
