National Award in the Arts: LaVon Fisher-Wilson

This award winner recognizes an artist with outstanding achievement in Louisville and on a national scale. Actress LaVon Fisher-Wilson has performed in numerous world-class productions both on and off-Broadway including The Newsies, Chicago, The Color Purple, Chix 6, and Lysistrata Jones. Fisher-Wilson has performed in several national and international touring shows including The Color Purple, Three Mo’ Tenors, Blackbirds of Broadway, Chicago, and Dreamgirls. Among her credits are also numerous regional theatre productions including Amadeus at Actors Theatre of Louisville. Fisher-Wilson has made several Film and Television appearances on programs such as Divorce, Team Toon, Teen Beach Movie, an Avon Commercial, and Nightcap with Jimmy.
