During the Corydon Capitol State Historic Site tour, guests will learn about the beginning of Indiana from territory days to the early years of statehood. The tour consists of the Capitol building, Governor’s Headquarters, and Porter-Coburn Law Office. This tour is a walking tour to the locations and has stairs to access the second floor of the Capitol.

 

Culbertson Mansion State Historic Site

See the Victorian grandeur of the home that once belonged to businessman and philanthropist William Culbertson, and learn about 19th century life in New Albany. The three-story, Second Empire mansion contains 25 rooms spread out over multiple floors. There are many stairs throughout the house, but the views are worth the climb! This guided tour lasts approximately 45 minutes and is recommended for elementary age and up.

The Falls of the Ohio State Park is located on the banks of the Ohio River in Clarksville, IN. The Interpretive Center houses immersive, state-of-the-art exhibits. Visitors interact with the exhibits, which takes them through 390 million years ago up to today. View the Lewis & Clark handshake statue commemorating the start of the expedition to the west coast. The deck overlooks exposed Devonian-era fossil beds that are among the largest in the world. The park is a great place to bird watch, go fishing, enjoy a picnic lunch and watch a spectacular sunset.
