SUMMARY:Kentucky Shakespeare
DESCRIPTION:Experience theatre under the stars at Kentucky Shakespeare Festival in Central Park in Historic Old Louisville. The season kicks off with a beautiful production of ROMEO AND JULIET\, followed by the hilarious hijinks of the farce THE COMEDY OF ERRORS\, and Shakespeare’s magical final play\, the comedy THE TEMPEST. The season will again feature two weeks of rotating repertory in July in which all three productions rotate nightly. In addition\, Kentucky Shakespeare’s Globe Players professional training program for high school students will present JULIUS CAESAR\, followed by Louisville Ballet’s SHAKESPEARE IN DANCE: LADY LEAR.\n\nThe festival features food trucks opening at 6 pm\, the Kids’ Globe tent with interactive pre-show activities starting at 7 pm\, and pre-show performances from various community groups starting at 7:15 pm. The main stage performances begin at 8 pm.\n\nPets on leashes are welcome! And don’t miss the new accessible playground in Central Park plus a spray pad coming soon.\n\nVisit Kyshakespeare.com/sicp for full calendar and more info. (Performances nightly with the exception of Mondays and Tuesdays in June and August\, and Mondays in July\, and June 19\, July 2-4)
